Deciding to take a break from their internet-poisoned lives and reconnect with one another by unplugging their phones and heading off for a weeklong stay at a friend’s rural cabin, thirtysomething Brooklyn couple Su and Jack (Sunita Mani and John Paul Reynolds, in a charming double act) are forced to fend for themselves, without benefit of instructive technology, through an out-of-the-blue invasion by fuzzy little aliens that are anything but cuddly. A droll social commentary wrapped in a lo-fi monster movie package, knowingly and hilariously lambasting the endemic ineptitude of the aging New York millennial.
