Basing a film on a Parker Brothers board game may not sound like a particularly promising premise, but writer-director Lynn’s comic whodunnit is a delight from start to finish(es)—singularly, the film went to theaters with three separate endings, one of which will show with every Metrograph screening. A delectable dinner party murder mystery with slapstick farce and gallows humor on the menu, with Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, and Martin Mull among the guests waited on by Tim Curry’s cracked butler.
