Gelgud & Hamrah present No Concessions!

Former video store clerk, projectionist, alt-weekly critic, and now the Court Cartoonist of Cinephile Culture, Nathan Gelgud’s illustrations, defined by a deceptively simple line that locates and distills into the essential telling detail, have appeared in publications large and small, on tote bags, on T-shirts, and, most recently, in Reel Politik, a satirical serial depicting the developing aesthetic/political consciousness of a band of movie theater employees raging against the dying of the cinemagoing experience… and much else besides. Gelgud returns to Metrograph this November to sign copies of his second Reel Politik collection, No Concessions!, and to present, with critic A.S. Hamrah, screenings of Howard Zieff’s Slither and Wim Wenders’s The State of Things.
