Two by Robb Moss
Director: Robb Moss
1991 / 92min / DCP
A pair of films from Moss, a master of first-person documentary and longtime Professor at Harvard’s Department of Art, Film, and Visual Studies, who will join Metrograph for the screening. Riverdogs is Moss’s lyrical, beautifully photographed account of a 35-day trek down the Colorado River, a paean to youth, the natural world, and a fleeting moment in the increasingly distant past. In his confessional The Tourist, Moss meditates—with a wry sense of humor—on the early years of his marriage, his failed attempts to start a family with his new wife, and the daily vicissitudes of professional life as an itinerant freelance cameraman.
