Compartment No. 6

Director: Juho Kuosmanen

2021 / 107min / DCP

When her girlfriend bails on a planned trip to visit ancient petroglyphs in the remote city of Murmansk in the Arctic Circle, Finnish student Laura (Seidi Haarla) decides to go on alone, finding herself sharing a compartment on the long train from Moscow with Lyokha (Yura Borisov), a Russian returning to his work in the mines of the northeast who makes a belligerent and boorish first impression, but in time becomes a figure of fascination for Laura—and she for him.
