Titus Kaphar will be in attendance Friday, April 28 for a special screening of his short films I Hold Your Love and Shut Up and Paint, followed by a conversation with Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance.

I Hold Your Love explores the joys and injustices of Black motherhood, collaging imagery from his work alongside an intimate conversation with Serena Williams.
SHUT UP AND PAINT
In Shut Up and Paint, Kaphar looks to the medium of film in the face of an insatiable art market seeking to silence his activism. Shut Up and Paint won the Best Short prize at the 2022 Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, a competitive event that spotlights superior works in documentary filmmaking in four award categories.
