Member Price: $450.00
In 1981 Hockney was commissioned to design the sets and costumes for Parade, a three-night celebration of 20th-century French works at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Hockney had big shoes to fill, as the original costumes and sets designed for its 1917 debut were executed by Picasso. As John Russell wrote in the the New York Times, “It is the Parade of 1917 revisited as if in a dream.”
Beautifully printed on a thick stock with vibrant coloring, as to be expected.
Very good overall condition with minor wear and creasing, still a very presentable original vintage lithograph.
