Photography from the Archive of Ed Lachman

Metrograph Editions, the merchandising and production arm of Metrograph, is proud to announce a photographic print series to celebrate the inaugural issue of The Metrograph.

Metrograph Editions collaborates with renowned cinematographer Ed Lachman to produce a set of signed, numbered photographic prints from his personal archive. These images are presented as an artist portfolio and on the cover of the first issue of The Metrograph and feature unseen imagery of Jean-Luc Godard, Michael Powell, and the artist himself. The prints will not be further physically reproduced and are available exclusively from Metrograph Editions.

Lachman elaborates on his photographic practice in a new interview in the inaugural issue of The Metrograph, along with his annotations of several of his photographs, showcasing his time working with Godard at Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope studios in Hollywood, through to his still photography practice and close friendship with Robert Frank.

Printed by Lachman in his personal studio on archival photo paper, these four prints are each available in two sizes, hand-numbered and signed by Lachman, produced in strictly limited editions of five each.
