A tough and tender telling of the early life of Club Atlético Boca Juniors superfan Maria Esther Duffau who, as a teenager, hustled to survive on the mean streets of Buenos Aires between stints in juvie hall and the psych ward, adopting a male identity (the “Little Raul” of the title) along the way.

I first came across La Raulito in 2022, but it’s taken all these years to finally track it down and be able to show it. Like all of the films in this series, La Raulito has a wonderful quality of melodramatic earnestness.
