Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey

No upcoming showtimes scheduled.
Director: Peter Hewitt
1989 / 93min / 35mm

Two years after their excellent adventure, Keanu Reeves’s Ted “Theodore” Logan and Alex Winter’s Bill S. Preston, Esq. are gearing up to play the San Dimas Battle of the Bands with their group Wyld Stallyns, but they’ll find more than mediocre musicianship standing in the way of their path to victory when a time-traveling terrorist (Joss Ackland), abetted by evil robotic replicas of the Stallyns, sets out on a mission to ensure they don’t achieve future fame. Per a reluctantly admiring Roger Ebert in the Chicago Sun-Times, “a riot of visual invention and weird humor that works on its chosen sub-moronic level, and on several others as well, including some fairly sophisticated ones,” among the latter an extended parody of Ingmar Bergman’s The Seventh Seal.
