Inspired by the work of the Anthropocene Working Group, an international organization of scientists committed to the study of humanity’s dangerous transformation of the planet since the mid-20th century, Baichwal, de Pencier and Burtynsky’s four-years-in-the-making film is an awe-striking and terrifying record of the scars left on the land by mankind’s rapacity, the final entry in the Anthropocene trilogy, and part of their wider project, which included a touring exhibition, book, and education program.
Q&A with filmmakers Edward Burtynsky, Jennifer Baichwal, and Nicholas de Pencier moderated by New Yorker Journalist Raffi Khatchadourian on Friday, June 20th
Introduction by ICP creative director David Campany on Friday, June 27th
