Prismatic Ground Closing Night: A Body to Live In
No upcoming showtimes scheduled.
Director: Angelo Madsen
2024 / 98min / DCP
Prismatic Ground closes out its fifth year of celebrating experimental documentary and avant-garde film with the New York premiere of the latest film by Angelo Madsen, whose short work featured in the festival’s very first edition. A Body to Live In matches Madsen's creatively transgressive practice with an equally transgressive subject: body modification icon Fakir Musafar.
“Madsen’s constantly shifting, evolving, exploratory and experimental filmmaking is precisely the kind of work I started Prismatic Ground in order to platform. He was one of the first people I reached out to when I started the festival, and it’s an honor to close out our fifth year with his new feature film—a bracing portrait of an extraordinary and unapologetic life lived proudly on the fringes.” —Inney Prakash, Founder-Director of Prismatic Ground
