The Man Who Knew Too Much

No upcoming showtimes scheduled.
Director: Alfred Hitchcock
1956 / 120min / 4K DCP

Often overlooked amidst Hitchcock’s many other towering works of the 1950s, his Technicolor, VistaVision auto-remake of his 1934 picture of the same title is a thriller of the first order, with James Stewart and Doris Day (in her finest film role) as an American couple whose Moroccan vacation is rudely interrupted by an assassination plot and the kidnapping of their young son. An ingeniously orchestrated, melodious nail-biter, with Day performing the Academy Award-winning “Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be),” composer Bernard Herrmann appearing as conductor of a symphony at London’s Royal Albert Hall in the film’s ingenious climax, and Hitchcock in maestro mode throughout.
