In the first installment of the series, a planned high school senior trip to Paris gets sidetracked when student Alex Browning (Devon Sawa) has a premonition of his departing flight exploding and bails on the runway, taking classmate Clear Rivers (Ali Larter) and others with him. Browning’s vision becomes a fiery reality, but the “lucky” survivors won’t have long to count their blessings, as one by one the reaper comes to claim his rightful property, through a series of morbidly inventive freak accidents.
