About the film:
A cult classic for its intricate costume design, the densely brocaded and bedazzled look of Biller’s years-in-the-making The Love Witch were the result of the writer/director/designer sewing ensembles and digging through salvage stores for props to fill elaborate sets, and that tireless dedication shows in every doted-over frame. The film, concerning a young witch (Samantha Robinson) whose use of sorcery to seduce men goes repeatedly and hilariously awry, is set in present-day northern California, but it's gluttony for studio-made glamor, saturated colors, and hard lighting reveals Biller’s passion for the Technicolor baubles of ’60s Hollywood.
