Metrograph continues its collaboration with The Paris Review to present María Alvarez’s documentary El Tiempo Perdido, an ode to Proust and the book club that has been gathering for 20 years to read him.

El Tiempo Perdido Alvarez’s documentary chronicles the meeting of a group of friends, who have been gathering to read and discuss Marcel Proust’s In Search of Lost Time for nearly two decades. Proust's sprawling roman à clef becomes a pretext for the group's personal reflections in this moving testament to the inexhaustibility of a great text.
