The Sting
No upcoming showtimes scheduled.
Director: George Roy Hill
1973 / 129min / DCP
A box-office phenomenon whose score of Scott Joplin ragtime shot to the top of the Billboard charts, The Sting reunited director Hill with his Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid stars Paul Newman and Robert Redford, who play two Great Depression-era professional grifters risking life and limb to pull the mother of all cons on Chicago mob boss Robert Shaw. Silent-style intertitles add to the (slightly anachronistic) period ambiance, and with Newman and Redford dressed to the nines by legendary costumer Edith Head, the 1930s have never looked so damn good.
Presented in DCP 4K. 4K Restoration overseen by Robert Harris.
