Young multi-hyphenate artist Kyoko (Ami Tomite) wreaks havoc on everyone that she encounters, the worst being reserved for simpering older assistant Noriko (Mariko Trutsui), whom she routinely humiliates—or at least that’s what seems to be happening, before an abrupt about-face. An outrageous, rabble-rousing contribution to the Roman Porno redux series, its action largely confined to a single set, Anti-Porno contains plenty of sex but above all is a world-class mindfuck, an expectation-defying, antic study in blighted eroticism, damaged psyches, and shifting power dynamics, set against outlandishly theatrical backdrops.
