Fireflies Press presents Hermia & Helena

Director: Matías Piñeiro

2016 / 87min / DCP

Camila (Agustina Muñoz), a young Argentine theater director, travels from Buenos Aires to New York for an artistic residency where she intends to develop her new project: a new Spanish translation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream—but upon her arrival, Camila quickly realizes that her work isn’t compensating for the loss of her friends and boyfriend she left behind. A film of quiet passion in which small gestures and objects carry great emotional weight, Hermia & Helena was the first film Piñeiro made in his adoptive home of New York City, released 10 years ago, and as such is ideally suited to screen alongside the stateside launch of his new artist’s book from Fireflies Press, From where do you start when drawing a flower?

Distributor: Kino Lorber
