In Dreams Begin Responsibilities: A Jonathan Rosenbaum Double-Bill

In celebration of a new collection of the work of legendary Chicago-based critic Jonathan Rosenbaum, Hat & Beard Press’s In Dreams Begin Responsibilities, which brings together 100 chronologically arranged pieces spanning six decades of his writing on the subjects of cinema, jazz, and literature, Metrograph is pleased to welcome Rosenbaum back to New York City, where he will appear in the theater in conversation with filmmaker Michael Almereyda, sign copies of In Dreams Begin Responsibilities, and present two favorite films discussed in the book, Yasuzō Masumura’s Giants and Toys (1958) and Dušan Makavejev’s WR: Mysteries of the Organism (1971).
