MACHORKA-MUFF
The pair’s first collaboration, based on a short story by Heinrich Böll, their grimly comic Machorka-Muff focuses on the inner life of a former Nazi colonel who, when not showering scorn on his sheep-like countrymen, delights in the boundless sexual and political opportunities available in “de-Nazified” postwar West Germany.
