An elegantly photographed story of mourning and reawakening from master dramatist Kore-eda, Maborosi follows a young mother (Makiko Esumi), recently remarried but still haunted by the death of her first husband, as she struggles to move past her grief in a village on the coast of the Sea of Japan.
