CHANGE OF LIFE
The second feature from Rocha, one of the foremost figures of the Portuguese Cinema Novo movement, tells the story of a young man’s return from abroad to his hometown fishing village in lyrical neorealist style. Its cast brings together trained actors (including Isabel Ruth) and local villagers essentially playing themselves.
