The unlikely encounter between actress Stephanie and NYPD counter-terrorism expert (and experimental theater fan) Gerard ends with Stephanie fleeing to the upstate home of musician friend Eleanor Friedberger—and into a welter of unwelcome, violent memories of a life she’d put behind her.
