As the saga of Checkford, New York, continues, Wang observes theater both inside The Bread Factory community arts center—where Dorothea and Greta are rehearsing a performance of Euripedes’s Hecuba—and on the city’s streets, suddenly swarming with tourists and workers for a start-up who’ve descended locust-like on the formerly quiet upstate ’burg.
