Marcello’s docufiction debut feature, lauded at the Berlin and Turin film festivals, tells the story of a 20-year romance, begun in prison, between a Sicilian macho and a transgender ex-junkie, while alongside offering a found footage-laced love letter to the dusty, dusky, fadingly picturesque port of Genoa.
