Left alone for the sweltering summer while her parents are on vacation, 22-year-old Nicole wiles away days and sleepless nights in their middle-class Québéc neighborhood in Lafleur’s feather-light, offbeat hang-out movie, a very funny, slightly surreal, and at times curiously suspenseful depiction of quarterlife drift and suburban malaise.
