Juliette Binoche gives one of the performances of her career in Dumont’s deeply compassionate, smotheringly claustrophobic depiction—drawing on surviving letters and documents—of three tormented days in the life of the celebrated sculptor Camille Claudel, unjustly condemned to an asylum after she’d started to destroy her own work.
