BLEECKER STREET: THE FIRST FIVE YEARS

Bleecker Street is an independently financed U.S. film distribution company founded in 2014 by Andrew Karpen. Dedicated to making smart and inviting entertainment, the company is celebrating its 5-year anniversary in 2019 following the release of Anthony Maras’ Hotel Mumbai, Joe Penna’s Arctic, Riley Stearns’ The Art of Self-Defense and Tom Shadyac’s Brian Banks. Over the company’s lifetime, Bleecker Street has garnered numerous award nominations for Leave No Trace, Danny Collins, Trumbo, Captain Fantastic, McQueen, and Disobedience, and has had the privilege to work with esteemed filmmakers that include Steven Soderbergh, Debra Granik, Jim Jarmusch, James Gray and Gavin Hood. Screenings in this series will be accompanied by intimate conversations with the films’ makers and stars: Logan Lucky with Steven Soderbergh; The Art of Self-Defense with Imogen Poots; Leave No Trace with Debra Granik; Disobedience with Alessandro Nivola; and I’ll See You in My Dreams with Blythe Danner.
