DIRECTOR: RENO DAKOTA
CAST: JEFFREY STROUTH
Director Reno Dakota in person for both screenings.
From the backseat of a ’57 Cadillac cruising around Columbus, droll monologist Jeffrey Strouth dishes about his life and times, beginning with his boyhood in southern Ohio through to his strung-out stint in the East Village. Reno Dakota’s documentary portrait, shot on Hi-8 video, is a vital, colorful work of queer oral history, and a tribute to its devastatingly funny subject, who died of AIDS a year after the film’s release.
