Three shorts excerpted from omnibus films of the early 1960s. From Ro.Go.Pa.G, a new generation of cinematic renegades reaches out to another trailblazer as Pasolini meets Orson Welles on the grounds of La Ricotta. Welles plays a filmmaker shooting the Passion of Jesus, though the film concentrates on a ragged and impoverished extra on the margins of the production, his fate an indictment of both society and the industrial filmmaking apparatus. From The World's Greatest Swindles, Godard's Le Grand Escroq stars past collaborator Jean Seberg; his short La Paresse, from The Seven Deadly Sins, starring future collaborator Eddie Constantine, was shot by Raoul Coutard in the unusual combination of black and white and 'scope.
Due to shipping errors, the full-length omnibus version of Ro.Go.Pa.G will not be screening, which included Godard's short Le Nouveau Monde; instead, only Pasolini's section, La Ricotta, will be screening.
