CAST: REX HARRISON, KAY KENDALL, JOHN SAXON, SANDRA DEE

Husband and wife Rex Harrison and Kay Kendall star in this effervescent Metrocolor comedy, which takes place during the 1958 London debutante season before the last presentation at Court. Seventeen-year-old U.S.-raised Sandra Dee comes to live with father Harrison and social-climber stepmother Kendall, who insists the girl should be introduced in polite society—only to be horrified when Dee gravitates towards rakish young pit band drummer John Saxon instead of a well-heeled match. An urbane, lushly appointed culture-clash comedy, timed to the post-Suez moment of British Imperial decline, and featuring the always wonderful Angela Lansbury.
