*BRAND NEW 16mm Print!*

Filmmaker and anthropology professor Leopold Pospisil shot this important ethnographic documentary over the course of thirteen months living in the New Guinea highlands. Considered to be likely the first color film shot in that region, the film documents the first time the Kapauku Papuans ever came into contact with Westerners. Preserved by the Yale Film Archive.
