Cox, a longtime afficionado of the Spaghetti western, simultaneously homages and spoofs the genre in this punkish wild ride of a road movie that follows a trio of hit men fleeing from Los Angeles to Mexico, expending billions of rounds of ammo along the way. Jones is one standout in a menagerie of a cast that has to be seen to be believed, including Joe Strummer, Elvis Costello, Shane MacGowan, Courtney Love, Jim Jarmusch, and Dennis Hopper, playing La Jones’ on-screen husband.
