DIRECTOR: ALEX ROSS PERRY
CAST: ADAM HOROVITZ, EMILY BROWNING, CHLOë SEVIGNY, MARY-LOUISE PARKER, JASON SCHWARTZMAN
Alex Ross Perry’s fifth feature unfolds among a loosely-connected group of professional, domesticated Brooklynites when a young, pretty, available outsider lands in their midst. Adam Horovitz plays an archivist whose new, young assistant Naomi (Emily Browning) provokes jealousy from his therapist wife (Chloe Sevigny) and suspicion from her jaded sister Gwen (Mary-Louise Parker). Meanwhile, Naomi’s casual meetings with Buddy (Jason Schwartzman) test his fidelity to his wife Jess (Analeigh Tipton). Jess’ sister (Lily Rabe) and confidante is also the long-suffering personal assistant to Gwen. The roiling emotion is captured in elegant imagery, courtesy of Perry and cinematographer Sean Price Williams.
A Vertical Entertainment release.
